On behalf of the Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force, we thank everyone who participated in this week’s SAMHSA training session, Moving Recovery into Practice: Information for Peer Specialists Serving People with Mental Health Conditions Experiencing Homelessness.

It was very gratifying to see such a great turnout from Milwaukee area peer specialists and housing advocates, and we hope the resources shared are helpful to you. Thank you for participating.

As promised at the trainings, we are sending you some follow-up resources, including a link to the entire eLearning Series for peer specialists serving people with mental health conditions experiencing homelessness. We are also sending these to the individuals who were registered for training and did not attend. See below for the resource list.

Disability Benefits Specialist Program

Provides free benefits counseling and includes information about public and private benefits. This includes assistance applying for Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.
